Gov. Jan Brewer has signed a bill creating a state militia that she coulddeploy at any time, and for any reason.

The bill, SB1495, creates a volunteer state militia, separate and apart from the National Guard.

Rep. Jack Harper, R-Surprise, who sponsored a near identical House
bill, said this type of legislation couldn’t have come at a better
time.

	(Phoenix, AZ - March 29, 2011) Sheriff Joe Arpaio today announced 'Operation Desert Sky' - a large-scale offensive using 30 'Posse Pilots' and aircraft as spotters, combined with a ground SWAT team with M-16s and the Sheriff's 50-caliber machine gun. This morning, political commentators are paying a great deal of attention to one of the Los Angeles Times’ stories about Barack Obama’s plans for a Republican takeover of Congress. Unfortunately, they are focusing on the wrong one. Most commentators spent the morning quoting the president’s remarks on a black radio program that a GOP-dominated Congress will result in “hand-to-hand combat.” The reality is most of the action will take place behind their backs and over their heads. All indications are, if Obama cannot get his legislative agenda enacted by Congress, he will impose it by decree.

The evidence comes buried elsewhere in today’s L.A. Times in a piece by Peter Nicholas and Christi Parsons under the hum-drum headline, “Obama Reshapes Administration for a Fresh Strategy.” The story makes clear the “fresh strategy” borders on government by executive fiat. It begins, “As President Obama remakes his senior staff, he is also shaping a new approach for the second half of his term: to advance his agenda through executive actions he can take on his own, rather than pushing plans through an increasingly hostile Congress.” This rule by divine right of kings is confirmed by no less an Obama insider than David Axelrod, who said, “It’s fair to say that the next phase is going to be less about legislative action than it is about managing the change that we’ve brought.” The Times states candidly:

So the best arena for Obama to execute his plans may be his own branch of government. That means more executive orders, more use of the bully pulpit, and more deployment of his ample regulatory powers and the wide-ranging rulemaking authority of his Cabinet members.  (Emphases added.)

Nicholas and Parsons note how the president has replaced the few appointees with ties to Capitol Hill in place of Chicago insiders. They specifically state the “the Environmental Protection Agency is determined to use its regulatory power…to begin lowering [carbon] emissions, in the absence of congressional action.” In 2007, the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that the EPA could regulate carbon dioxide emissions under the Clean Air Act, although the act did not have these “pollutants” in mind. Seizing on this ruling, an anonymous insider who “was not authorized to speak publicly” told the Times, “The ambition is to get a reasonable start” on implementing his extremist vision.

The plan fulfills a threat Obama made earlier this year. The Associated Press reported in June, “The Obama administration says it would prefer that Congress enact climate change legislation, but has used the threat of EPA regulations to goad lawmakers into action.” Within the last week, Congressional Republicans have called the regulations job-killers, and Democratic Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia has sponsored a two-year freeze on certain EPA regulations. Now it looks as though the president will run roughshod over Rockefeller, the Republicans, and the will of the American people.

More concerning than the aims to which Obama plans to use unfettered executive fiat power is the circumvention of Congress, and the Constitution, in the first place. William Galston of the Brookings Institution took the LAT Obama will employ this strategy even if Republicans do not take back either House of Congress. “Whether or not the Republicans take over majorities in one or both houses, the margins will be so much narrower that the strategy of putting together a Democratic bill and picking off a handful of Republicans to push it over the top won’t be viable anymore,” he said.

Rather than triangulate, repackage his radicalism, or take an electoral chastening, Obama plans to ram his agenda down the American people’s throats “by any means necessary.”

What will this agenda look like? In part, it is already in place. On illegal immigration, the president has already excluded Congress, several states, and the overwhelming majority of the American people to aggressively promote an Open Borders agenda. A U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services draft memo that surfaced this summer contemplated ways to enact “meaningful immigration reform absent legislative action.” Shortly thereafter, an ICE draft memo appeared, instructing all law enforcement – including any “state, local, or tribal officer” – that no one “should not issue detainers against an alien charged only with a traffic-related misdemeanor.” Traffic stops have been one of the most fruitful ways of finding and deporting illegal aliens and make up the heart of Arizona’s S.B. 1070, allowing state and local law enforcement agencies to exercise their federally delegated power in arresting illegal immigrants.

When the Obama administration is not making law, it is busy ignoring it. The New York Times reported that the government simply stopped deporting young illegal aliens this summer – an exemption that applies to 726,000 people – because they may be eligible for the DREAM Act, which Congress has not yet passed (and probably never will). The administration began dismissing virtually all cases against illegals who had not committed any violent crime, letting a potential 17,000 illegals off-the-hook. Janet Napolitano’s Department of Homeland Security seems to have let a Congressionally mandated program to assure visa recipients leave the country slide – although overstays are the entry point for 40-45 percent of all illegal immigrants in the United States. That is how six of the 9/11 hijackers entered the country. Although Congress supports enforcement, the administration has simply shut down their requests.

Obama has unilaterally decided not to apply equal rights to disenfranchised white voters, dropping all such lawsuits targeting minority organizations. DoJ appointee Julie Fernandez said, “the Obama administration was only interested in bringing…cases that would provide political equality for racial and language minority voters.” Two former, high-ranking DoJ voting rights lawyers have testified the racist arrangement is an official government policy.

The Obama administration has already begun to entertain aspects of the Green Left’s agenda, a trend it will increase in the second half of its first (and, we hope, only) term. The EPA considered, then rejected, banning fishing gear and traditional bullets this summer. Obama has taken steps toward nationalizing millions of acres of land in the American West. In July, the president established the National Ocean Council, staffed with 27 members, by decree. Rep. Sam Farr boasted at the time, “We already have a Clean Air Act and a Clean Water Act. With today’s executive order, President Obama in effect creates a Clean Ocean Act.” Some have written this panel will implement the never-ratified UN Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST).

The danger is not merely that the president will enact legislation with the stroke of a pen, like Caesar. It appears likely he will accelerate his trend to pre-empt domestic political questions before the United Nations. I was the first reporter to discover that Obama hauled Arizona before the UN Human Rights Council this summer over the state’s aforementioned immigration law. Last week, the UN’s Global Migration Group issued a new report blasting opponents of Open Borders and welfare for illegal aliens as “xenophobes and racists.” Now, the Justice Department has solicited 11 Latin American nations to weigh in on its lawsuit stating the Arizona law violates the U.S. Constitution – as though any of the parties would know or care. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer called the foreign intervention “incredibly offensive,” adding, “American sovereignty begins in the U.S. Constitution and at the border.”

The Obama administration has already rendered one of these moot and is now working to undermine the other. He has appointed two Supreme Court justices who believe in supplanting the U.S. Constitution with foreign law.

Obama used the same UN report to push a far-Left agenda (including card-check union organization, bilingual ballots, universal preschool, and gays in the military) under the guise of “human rights.” He likewise extended benefits to the same-sex “partners” of some federal employees in advance of a Congressional bill to do the same.

Where does the president derive these dictatorial powers? Simple: he claims them. Article II of the U.S. Constitution delegates to the president only the powers to act as commander-in-chief of the military, grant pardons, make treaties (which must be approved by the Senate), appoint ambassadors and Supreme Court justices, and give the State of the Union address.

And, if necessary, the “right” to be impeached.

If a system of unelected, sometimes unconfirmed czars does not violate the Constitution, the assumption of imperial powers by the executive branch should.

Barack Obama is dedicated to use whatever time he has in office forcing as much of his agenda on the United States – and so transforming the economic and electoral make-up of our nation – that his radical vision can be foisted upon Americans as a fait accompli.

Many Americans believed the velvet words of hope and change during the 2008 campaign. If the thuggishness of the past two years has not convinced them of his disregard for popular will, the U.S. Constitution, and the rule of law, two years of radical, royal decrees may.

If Congressional Republicans do their jobs in 2011, Obama may not fill out two more years in office. 

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley’s decision not seek re-election all but ensures that Rahm Emanuel will throw his hat in the ring. Emanuel currently serves as chief of staff to President Obama, the man who controls who gets access to the president. Politico.com reports that Rahm has told sources his likely successor is Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s long-term friend and Chicago confidant.

Anyone familiar with Jarrett’s record should be concerned.

To pick but one underreported example, Valerie Jarrett gave the keynote address at the 46th annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) last July. ISNA was an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial of the Holy Land Foundation’s financing of terrorist organizations, particularly Hamas. ISNA is a byproduct of the Muslim Brotherhood, the organization that formed the worldview of Ayman al-Zawahiri and Osama bin Laden.

Although Jarrett was the highest-ranking government official at the meeting, she was hardly the only VIP. Cat Stevens, now Yusuf Islam, addressed the same gathering. Stevens is the “Peace Train” folk singer who defended the Ayatollah Khomeini’s fatwa against Salman Rushdie after the latter dared criticize Islam.

Another of the speakers, Imam Warith Deen Umar, has a long history of Islamic extremism. He reportedly hailed the 9/11 hijackers as martyrs, a remark that got him banned from the New York State Department of Corrections, where he served as a chaplain. In another instance, Umar urged Muslims to:

Rise up and fight. And fight them until turmoil is no more and strike terror into their hearts…[T]he kuffar [unbeliever] was not afraid of the Muslims up until a few days ago now they frightened to death. Green alert, red alert, orange alert. The Muslims are praying. They getting on our planes, they may shoot us down. They scared to death. Alhamdulilah. [Thanks be to God.]

Jarrett has kept tight company with ISNA literally since day one of the administration. She invited its president, Ingrid Mattson, to offer a Muslim prayer at Obama’s inauguration and attend a Ramadan dinner. Aaron Klein of WND.com reported, “In June 2009, Obama senior aide Valerie Jarrett invited Mattson to work on the White House Council on Women and Girls, which Jarrett leads. One month later, the Justice Department sponsored an information booth at an ISNA bazaar in Washington, D.C.”

The relationship has continued apace since then. ISNA published the book by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the leader behind the Ground Zero Mosque. It was originally entitled A Call to Prayer from the World Trade Center Rubble: Islamic Dawa [conversion] in the Heart of America Post-9/11.

Jarrett’s participation in a conference so filled with radicals shows more than her poor choice of venue. Her keynote speech made clear she was there to recruit ISNA for the administration’s government-sponsored propaganda. According to ISNA’s account of the confab:

She commended ISNA for addressing many critical issues in the convention: “increasing civic engagement and interfaith cooperation, protecting the rights of the disabled and elderly, addressing domestic violence, improving education and health care, expanding renewable energy, and protecting the environment.”

Then she tried to get them involved with the government’s Serve.gov website. The White House website states:

After acknowledging the diligent work and great contribution of Muslim Americans to American society, Jarrett encouraged Muslim Americans to respond to President Obama’s call to service. She asked that they participate in United We Serve this summer, and utilize www.serve.gov to post service projects and find other opportunities.

This is the same project officials in Jarrett’s Office of Public Engagement would attempt to foist on grant recipients of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), asking dozens of “artists” on a conference call to create art that promoted the president’s agenda.

OPE officials, including Jarrett herself, would host a “cultural policy summit” in D.C. last spring, featuring several of Van Jones’ associates, a host of radicals who accuse the CIA of selling crack in black neighborhoods, and the “former International Spokeswoman for the Universal Zulu Nation” (a woman who goes by the name “Rha Goddess”), among a cast of dozens. Sally Kohn, a leftist radical who was present at this and numerous subsequent meetings, confirmed the administration uses far-Left groups to covertly advocate for its agenda.

The ISNA speech appears to be another example of Jarrett reaching out to enlist radical, anti-American extremists in the White House’s cause. Indeed, Jarrett has been the primary source of radicals into the administration.

It was Valerie Jarrett who interviewed former Green Jobs Czar Van Jones. Jarrett gushed to the Netroots Nation conference:

We were so delighted to be able to recruit him into the White House. We were watching him…for as long as he’s been active out in Oakland. And all the creative ideas he has. And so now, we have captured that, and we have all that energy in the White House.

Jarrett lobbied Obama to create the office of Chief Diversity Officer within the FCC, a position filled by Mark Lloyd, an Alinskyite and former senior fellow at the Center for American Progress.

On the campaign trail, she made sure white staffers listened to the views of Al Sharpton’s racial grievance lobby. She — and both Obamas — are also close friends with Marilyn Katz, an SDS radical who oversaw “security” during the Days of Rage. Two years ago, Katz told the media, “I would probably reject violence as a useful form of revolution.” Probably?

Jarrett is already the de facto chief of staff, if not the de facto president. Last year, Obama told New York Times reporter Robert Draper, “I trust her completely…She is family.” Obama empowers Jarrett “to speak for me, particularly when we’re dealing with delicate issues.” When asked, he admitted he runs every decision by her. Jarrett perhaps described her relationship with Barack Obama best: “We have kind of a mind meld.”

To be safe, the administration is floating other names. Former OMB head Peter Orszag was rumored to be on the list, but after he publicly rebuked the president’s tax policy, he would seem an unusual pick. Politico claims Tom Daschle is allegedly being considered, but that hardly seems likely after Obama admitted he “screwed up” after nominating Daschle as secretary of Health and Human Services. Another potential nominee is John Podesta, the head of the Soros-funded Center for American Progress, which currently employs Van Jones. Podesta, writes the Politico’s Ben Smith, “would represent a change of course.” The more things change….

No matter who holds the position, Jarrett holds the reins of power. Her radicalism is no mistake. It is a perfect reflection of the president’s deepest-held opinions and beliefs.

And that should frighten everyone who believes in freedom.
 
 

Obama has directed Department of Homeland Security to enact an AMNESTY program.  US Citizenship and Immigration Services has circulated the following Memorandum defining the details of the DHS plan to circumvent Congressional Authorization. 

In summary it says, "In the absence of Comprehensive Immigration Reform (AKA AMNESTY), USCIS can extend benefits and/or protections to... applicants who entered the United States without inspection... and would allow thousands (likely millions) to become lawful residents... individual applicants deemed inadmissible under the Immigration and Nationality Act having entered without inspection (AKA ILLEGALLY)... the USCIS could grant 'parole-in-place' (AKA AMNESTY)."

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid making a push  for Hispanic voters argued that Republicans are to blame for the Senate's inability to move forward with so-called "immigration reform" efforts. "I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, OK," Reid said, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "Do I need to say more?"

A Hispanic GOP group has announced support for the AZ enforcement law and the Arizona Latino Republican Association thus becomes the first Hispanic organization in the country to actively oppose the Department of Justice's lawsuit against the state of Arizona's new immigration law.

Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, Inc., said he was joined by ALRA Chairman Jesse Hernandez and members of the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association.  ALRA is the first group of Latino Americans to "put a foot forward legally" in support of S.B. 1070 by filing a motion to intervene against the Justice Department's lawsuit challenging Arizona's immigration policy, Klayman said.

"This is a way to tell the country that, 'Hey, we're Americans too and we believe in the rule of law," Klayman told Foxnews.com. "It's a way to say, 'We got here legally and we contributed a great deal...

We want the rest of the country to recognize that we're with you' [in the national immigration debate]."

This week, the United States Supreme Court upheld the broad application of a federal law that hinders the ability of human rights and humanitarian aid organizations to do their work by making it a crime to provide "material support" to designated "foreign terrorist organizations" (FTOs).

Under the law, individuals face up to 15 years in prison for providing "material support" to FTOs, even if their work is intended to promote peaceful, lawful objectives. "Material support" is defined to include any "service," "training," "expert advice or assistance" or "personnel."

The ruling thwarts the efforts of human rights organizations to persuade violent actors to renounce violence or cease their human rights abuses and jeopardizes the provision of aid and disaster relief in conflict zones controlled by designated groups. The ACLU filed a friend-of-the-court brief in the case, Holder v. Humanitarian Law Project, on behalf of the Carter Center and several other organizations known for their work to promote peace, further human rights and alleviate human suffering around the world.

"The 'material support law'—which is aimed at putting an end to terrorism—actually threatens our work and the work of many other peacemaking organizations that must interact directly with groups that have engaged in violence," said former President Jimmy Carter, founder of the Carter Center. "The vague language of the law leaves us wondering if we will be prosecuted for our work to promote peace and freedom."

Recent numerous reports have been circulated in various web sites and blogs about two seemingly major unusual events taking place in the U.S.

The First event involved extremely large and unusual numbers of National Guard Units in various states being called up for drills or exercises potentially for upcoming deployments.  Many have speculated that these are unusual call ups because of the sheer numbers being engaged and the so-called secrecy behind them.

Many people have commented that they are simply being activated in preparation for deployments to Iraq this summer, but one ‘CONFIRMED’ report involved the Minnesota 1st Brigade Combat Team and marks the largest deployment of Minnesota military forces since World War II. This alone is highly suspicious.

The More disturbing INTEL that has hit the wire in the past couple of days is the report of large numbers of foreign troops arriving at a large naval base in San Diego, California.  This report came at dusk on Wednesday May 19, 2010.

U.S. Navy vessels were spotted unloading extremely large numbers of UN and Russian troops and Equipment.  They disembarked the vessels as it was still light out in plain sight. Mostly Russian troops.

Up until recently this was not confirmed, but merely rumor of a report from an undisclosed military source. Kudos to the Intel Hub!

AS OF TONIGHT MAY 24, 2010……..We here at SENTINEL COMMAND have been able to actually CONFIRM this report to be true, by means of an On-The-Ground

This is extremely important INTEL because there have been reports that U.S. Secretary Napolitano had previously requested 3 to 4 brigades of troops from the Russian government to specifically assist in the quelling of domestic civil unrest by U.S. Citizens. This was done by the Obama Administration

The arrival of these troops obviously confirms this earlier rumor, otherwise they would not be here at this particular time. Although there doesn’t appear to be any ‘immediate’ threat …….this highly unusual event does cause extreme alarm and should have us all on our toes and looking for signs that something is going to happen and happen soon.

I need to urge each and everyone of you to stay alert and sharp and have your gear ready…..and above all, we need you to be our eyes and ears more than ever at this time.  If any of you can obtain further INTEL on this report or any other activity occurring in your immediate vicinity, then PLEASE Report this back to me IMMEDIATELY.   Please make sure the INTEL is Solid and Confirmed and not some rumors heard through unreliable third parties or websites.

Boatloads of UN & Russian Troops Arrive on U.S. Soil

Caleb Howe just spoke with Chief Andrew Staubitz of the Capitol Police in Phoenix, Arizona. This morning, police and the fire department responded to a call from the first floor of the executive tower of the Arizona Capitol. An employee opened an envelope addressed to Governor Jan Brewer which contained a "powdery white substance." The immediate area and lobby were closed for about thirty minutes, during which time the substance was packaged as evidence of a crime and sent to the State lab for analysis.

Chief Staubitz believes during that thirty minutes the employee who opened the package was likely checked out by paramedics who responded to the call, but he does not believe she required any further medical attention.

The results of the lab analysis are expected in less than 24 hours, and the Capitol Police will be issuing a statement at that time. The police will be working with the FBI in investigating the incident.

How long after the Capitol steps alleged spit incident was it before talking heads were running with the Democrat and Shepard Smith talking point that tea partiers were becoming violent? How many times in the last year, from the town halls through today, has MSNBC had panels and pundits discussing the "violent rhetoric" and increasing danger from the right? Can you imagine if Governor Brewer had declared a Arizona a sanctuary state and then received white powder in the mail? The uproar? The outrage? The utter ALARM!??!
